Starting off the week right
>> Sunday, May 18, 2008
After only working out two days last week, I am trying to start this week off right and hopefully make up for last week. I honestly don't know what happened last week...it just flew by and when it was all said and done, I had only worked out twice. Not good. But I can't go back and change it so I'm just trying to make it right this week.
I had a PT appointment with Chris today and we did core for an hour. He didn't have anyone after me so although it's only supposed to be 30 minutes, he spent an hour whipping me into shape. I ran on the treadmill before we started working out and ended up doing 2 miles in less than 20 minutes. I felt like I could have kept running too at a quick pace but I had to use the restroom if you know what I mean...
Then I had my core workout and afterwards I spent 15 minutes on the step MILL at level 10. My buns were definitely feeling it toward the end.
On a different note, Michael (husband) had his first triathlon this morning and he did great. It was a sprint tri but he wanted to do this one because there's an Olympic one in July and he didn't want that one to be his first. His goal was one hour thirty minutes but he did it in 1 hour 24 minutes~!!! He even said the run, which is last obviously, was "easier than he expected." So, he knows he could push himself harder next time but since this was his first one, he wasn't really sure and wanted to pace himself. Here are some pictures:
It was early and we were really tired...even our dog was tired!!!

Seriously, my HOT husband rounding the last corner of the run... I love this picture of him!!

WOW...great job, Michael! Way to cheer him on to a fantastic finish. I'm still too chicken to go for the Tri!
Congrast to Michael!! He did awesome! :)
Congratulations Michael! He looks like a natural out there! Awesome. :)
That's quite the workout you had. Are you trying to make up for a week all in one day? ;-)
Congrats to your husband on his first tri. Going for sprint before the olympic is a good idea. In my mind, at least.
Are we going to get you on the tri circuit?
