Day 2
>> Tuesday, September 30, 2008
Today marked Day 2 of marathon training.
It was a rough day at work. I had 5 meetings, which I don't mind, but that just means you don't get any work done.
I didn't leave until 7:15 PM.
I came home, though, and was so excited to run. Not only was I motivated b/c it was my first run for official training, but I needed to run tonight mentally. I was ssssstressed out! I needed to run to clear my thoughts, forget about work, and "leave it on the road."
My workout called for 3-4 easy miles. I know there will be plenty of nights where I won't feel like or have the time to do the higher mile number so I didn't want tonight to be that time. I wanted to run and I needed to run so I opted for 4 miles.
Unfortunately, I don't have my split times b/c my wonderful hubby used my Garmin and changed the setting on it. I didn't know it, so I didn't change it before I headed out. Bummer.
Oh well.
Total time?
45:01 for 4.0 miles.
Average pace = 11:11/mile (that's gotta mean somethin' right?)
1 run down... a fricken lot to go!
By the way, today is mine and Michael's 3-year anniversary! We're going to "The Melting Pot" restaurant this coming weekend which is a fondue place and I'm SUPER excited! (So much for the zone diet on Saturday!)
Until tomorrow,
Kelsalynn

Congrats on your first marathon steps! And happy aniversary to you and your hubby. You two certainly have a lot to celebrate, both personally and as a couple.
Kelsa, Let me know what you think of the Melting Pot. There is a new one in Novi that I would love to visit, but so far I haven't heard any reviews, good or bad.
Happy Anniversary!!

So I found your blog from somewhere and have been trying to catch up a little. Just thought you should know Melting Pot is where my husband and I spent our two year anniversayr. Must be popular. We always get a glass of wine from the vineyard across the street from the vineyard we got married in. Rex Hill, Oregon Pinot Noir. Very nice. Happy belated anniversary, stranger :)
Happy Anniversary you two!!! I want to hear about the Melting Pot - I've never been to one, but I hear they're great! Good job on your first official run of marathon training! Great times!!!
