Spinning class tonight was awesome! I loved it!

The instructor was a little quirky but her music selection was superb which totally helped. Not only that, but she knew her music really well and all of our intervals and cadences were perfectly in rhythm to the song. It was great...

It wasn't a super tough workout, but I didn't try to kill myself with my second night back to exercise. Next time I'll up the intensity and resistence a tad bit more and I'm sure it will be tough.

Toward the end, my calves did start to feel a little "twingy." I know I use the word "twinge" a lot to describe my body's odd actions but it's really the best word. It's not always an ache, or a pain... and tonight it wasn't exactly a cramp, but it was an almost-cramp. I could feel it getting tighter than it should in an uncomfortable way so I would take that as a sign and back off slightly.

Tonight when I got home, I iced both my calves so that should help. Michael reminded me that I'm only one week from the marathon so it's normal to still feel some "twinges" especially since my calves were in so much pain that day.

It felt good to stretch against the bike at the end of class too. I can feel that I'm still recovering...

Until tomorrow,
Kelsalynn

It has only been one week since your marathon. Glad to hear you enjoyed spin. May I recommend another rest day today? :)

I'm a big believer in the word twinge! It just sums up everything huh?

Nice job spinning!

I totally understand "twinge."
