Interview

>> Wednesday, February 4, 2009

A fellow blogger-friend of mine, Jen, is interviewing me and I'm going to do my best to answer her questions!

1. Where would you take your next vacation if it was completely paid for and money was no object?
If money was no object, and I could have as much time off as I wanted, I would take a trip around the world. I honestly don't think I could pick just one place if money was of no concern. If I had to pick, or if I only had enough money for one vacation spot, I'd say Rome.

2. Are you still in touch with many of your high school friends? Did you/will you go to your reunion?
With one exception, I'm in touch with peeps from high school via Facebook and MySpace only. I have a friend, Megan, who I'm still close with and talk to on the phone whenever we can find the time. She's the only one though. I would love to go to my 10-year class reunion, which should happen this coming summer. The problem is that no one knows where our class President is, she kind of fell off the planet, and apparently someone embezzled our class dues. Sooo... not sure if I'll even have a class reunion to attend!

3. What kind of music do you like?
I like Classic Rock mostly and any female singer... I like to listen to female singers and imagine I'm singing, which would never happen because no one in my family can carry a tune to save their life. Damn genetics. I put my Dixie Chicks CD in the other day and realized how much I loved them.

4. Are you planning on having kids, and if so, when?
Oh! What a question Jen! If only you knew the history behind this question and how I usually dodge it out of principle! Because of my reaction to this question, people tend to think Michael and I are anti-kids when in fact, we want kids. We just don't want them right now and for a while there, we were really getting pressured about it and I just didn't get it. To be honest, I don't know "when" and I promise that lack of an answer is not me dodging the question...I truly don't know. We haven't given it a whole lot of thought. It could be next year. It could be 5 years down the road. I'm an obsessive planner naturally and I try really hard to not plan out my life 5-10 years in advance b/c it doesn't matter...whenever I've tried to do that, something has changed (usually for the better) and the master plan that was in my head was really for nothing. Michael and I will have kids some day, we're just not really in a hurry.

5. What is your favorite clothing store/brand.. the one that always fits you perfect and suits your style the most?
My favorite clothing store used to be Petite Sophisticate/Casual Corner until it closed. Does anyone remember that store? Man, I loved it. Now I usually shop at Ann Taylor Loft b/c I can find things for work and home there. I don't spend a lot of money on non-work clothes b/c I spend most of my time at work where I'm required to wear a suit. I do try to find shirts though that look good under a suit coat but also with a pair of jeans.

To play along:

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. (I get to pick the questions).
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview others in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Great answers to some fun questions! When you talk about having kids, I think that most people start questioning couple as soon as they get married. My poor sister and brother and law have been married for only over a year now, but this weekend his family was talking about them having kids as soon as he gets back from Iraq. I felt soo bad for Steph. It's got to get old!

Yay, great answers! I know exactly what you mean about having kids so I understand your frusteration with the question... sorry! I agree that as soon as you get married it becomes the subject of choice, soo annoying.

I also love Classic rock and I love female singers of all genres, like R&B/Soul, Pop, Jazz, Rock, etc..

thanks for playing! :)
