At least not for a really long time...

I'm referring to eating out, or eating greasy food...

Tonight Michael and I went to Red Robin for a casual date night. Originally we were thinking sushi, but for once, that didn't really sound good to me so we tried something new. I had been to Red Robin once or twice before and it was good.

That was before I got on the Zone diet.

Barf.

I ordered the Macho Nachos and they were absolutely de-lish. I scarfed those puppies down. Michael ordered a wrap which came with bottomless fries and we both enjoyed far too much of that fried goodness.

We finished and we were talking and you could see the moment that "it" hit both of us. Ugh. The grease, the fat, the ick that we're not used to putting in our body had just hit rock bottom and it was sitting in our stomach. We both felt sick.

Our bodies just aren't used to that. On the way home, we talked about how tired we both were and how that meal, although tasty going in, did not give our bodies anything they needed and it was obvious. Our stomachs were having an extremely difficult time digesting what we just put in them.

It's no surprise that people in general feel tired, sick, or depressed more and more- keep putting shit in your body and you'll feel like shit in return.

We decided we would forget about eating out from now on our "date" nights and save the money to do something else that we'd enjoy more- like seeing a movie. It's $9.75 per person to see a movie!!! Isn't that ridiculous??? So, we'll eat in and catch a flick instead.

I know exactly how you feel - the last three times we've eaten out I've been sick before I even paid the check. Ugh.

I know what you mean! Yesterday, I had this McDonald's craving, which is weird because I almost never eat fast food, but I figured, hey, I never eat it, may as well indulge. Like you said, ick.

And I totally agree about the cost of movies! Last night, Jerry and I were commenting how nice it is to watch movies at home: we have a nice big TV, surround sound, we get to lay on the couch with the dog, there are no other people to annoy us, and we can pause whenever we want to get up to pee or get snacks.

Oh dear. I know that I don't eat as well as you guys probably do, but I eat a lot better than I used to ... and when I eat out like that, especially greasy or spicy food, I get so sick. It hits you like a bag of rocks, before you even leave the restaurant. Gross...
