Another quick workout, another quick entry

>> Sunday, March 22, 2009

Well, after a day of being lazy and doing a whole lot of nothing, I finally found the motivation to get my butt to the gym.

I ended up doing a CrossFit workout that called for the following:

15 deadlifts
1/2 mile run
12 deadlifts
1/2 mile run
9 deadlifts
1/2 mile run

I did the deadlifts holding a 110-lb bar.

My total time for all of the above?

17 minutes and 21 seconds!!

Hell yeah! I did 36 deadlifts with 110 lbs and ran 1.5 miles in just over 17 minutes! I am pretty proud of that time!

I also swept and mopped the downstairs floor in our condo which is all tile. Our cat Jo-Jo's favorite toys aren't the kind you can buy from a store- hers include candy wrappers, my hair clips, and golf balls.

I moved the couch to sweep and mop behind it and underneath I found the following:
11 candy wrappers
4 hair clips
3 golf balls

I guess Jo-Jo hasn't learned her lesson that when she bats these items under the couch, she can't get them back.

Pets... ya gotta love 'em.

Oscar's similar. At least five times a week I see him whining and batting at the underside of the couch. At that point, I get out the broom and run it along the underside of the couch. At minimum, I usually sweep out three cat nip balls and two cat nip mice. And then Oscar proceeds to bat them all right back under the couch.

Scooter purposes pushes some things under the couch and then it's a game of "have the humans fetch them out for me." It's why I don't allow him to have tennis balls because it's such an annoying game.

LOL, it's amazing the things that end up under the couch.

Amazing workout! You must have been running pretty fast to get that other stuff done in that time! Well done. :)

You're dog put 11 candy wrappers under the couch? Something doesn't sound right there. LOL.
