Just writing to let you know I won't be working out for a few days, I'm thinking.
See, what had-happened was...
Normally, I'm fairly coordinated.
But in the past week, I've fallen not once, but twice from my bike.
Not sure what the deal is there, but it was in the same spot both times.
The spill I took tonight on my way home was a doozy.
I'm scraped up pretty good on my left leg and my palms (braced the fall, unsuccessfully I might add) and initially, that's all I thought were the results of my joy ride.
But as the night goes on, my knee is only growing in size and my right ankle is also bruised more than I thought originally.
The more time that goes by, the worse my ligaments feel from today's collision course with the hard Arizona ground.
I'm sure over the next couple of days, I'll really be feeling some aches and pains that I don't feel even now. It's going to be a painful few days.
All I can do is laugh at myself.
Curse, but laugh.

As someone who has fallen off my bike many times I totally feel your pain. I'm sorry you took a spill. It sucks.
On a random safety note - it's actually better to be attached to your bike with a pair of clippless pedals - they take some getting used to, but in the end, when you hit a bump or hole, the bike goes with you instead of throwing you. That's why pretty much all mountain bikers and pro road cyclists wear them - when they hit an obstacle they can control the bike better.
It's just something to look into.
That sucks, but I think we need a visual ;)
Cursing does help the pain! That and tears... alongside the laughter! Glad you have a good sense of humor about it!
