Great Saturday

Today was a pretty phenomenal day. I woke up at 7 AM just b/c I'm used to waking up at 5:00 so 7:00 is sleeping in. I took Michael to work at 8:30, then came home and slept for another hour. Gotta love naps on the weekends man.
After grocery shopping, I headed to the gym to pick up Michael and workout.
The WOD called for:
AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) in 20 minutes of:
10 wallballs (20#)
10 incline sit-ups
10 back extensions
It was my first attempt at using the 20# ball. We have 11# or 20# and usually I stick with the 11#. It might not seem like a big difference, but when you start throwing it up, those 9 lbs really take their toll.
Michael took a video of me doing the workout with his phone. I worn you, the quality isn't the best in some spots...
I ended up completing 13 rounds! That means, in 20 minutes, I did 130 reps of wallballs, sit-ups, and back extensions. I still can't believe it myself. I'm totally proud of myself b/c it wasn't easy and in comparing how I did to others on the CrossFit website, I really kicked butt!
From there we showered and got ready to go to our friend's house for a BBQ. Here are a few pictures... enjoy!
Nikki calling "Next" on the drums...

Sunday is a rest day! Wahoo!
I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Hi there! You have a really neat blog; I have enjoyed reading about your fitness goals and financial goals. :)
Looks like a pretty perfect Saturday to me, Kelsa!
Looks like some Rock Band fun!
I love the video. Most of the time when you talk about an exercise I have no idea what it actually means (i.e. wall balls), so I like seeing what actually goes into your workouts. And having seen them, holy heck girl you deserve a rest day.
