Daniel

>> Monday, September 28, 2009

The workout I did this morning was called "Daniel"- a fallen war hero who was killed in action on June 8th, 2006. Whenever you do these workouts, how can you not give it all you got? I mean, I just keep telling myself, "Do it for Daniel." It's so moving to push yourself to the limits in memory of someone... it's one of the coolest things I think CrossFit does.

"Daniel" calls for (at least my scaled version):
25 pull-ups
Run 1/4 mile
21 Thrusters, 45#
Run 1/2 mile
21 Thrusters, 45#
Run 1/4 mile
25 pull-ups

My time = 23:35

It was sooo hard but sooo awesome! I love the looks I get when I do workouts like these. The squat rack (what I use to do pull-ups and also the thrusters) is at the opposite side of the gym as the treadmills. The squat rack is in the area where all the tough guys stand around (notice I didn't say workout, anyway...) and they just stare at me as I run from one to the other.

There's a few guys who are really cool and always talk with everyone- I swear, they do more talking than working out, but they admit that themselves. :) They will say, "Go Kelsa, Go" or "Run girl!" stuff like that. It's very motivating.

Then I'm done and they say things like, "Done already?" in a joking way. Very funny!

This morning I'm listening to Friday's podcast of the Dave Ramsey radio show. Every Friday they call it "Debt Free Fridays" where people call in and scream and tell their story about how they got into debt and why they decided to get out of it. I can't believe that in 2 days, that's going to be us! (No, we're not calling the show...) In 2 days, our only debt will be on our home in Michigan!

I've already called and requested my payoff amount for Wednesday and it totals $1,080.76. I'll come into work that morning and call and pay it off!

2 days left!
2 days left!
2 days left!
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!

Until tomorrow,
Kelsalynn

Go Kelsa Go! That was a debt payoff cheer. But that's only because you already have a cheering squad at the gym. That's too funny by the way.
