I'm an idiot and what a difference 3.5 months makes

I was so excited to blog this morning on today's workout. Today, I did "Barbara" or actually "Barbara Lite" which is one of the scaled versions of Barbara.
Here's what my workout looked like:
5 rounds of:
10 pull-ups
20 push-ups
30 sit-ups
40 squats
In other words, it took me 24:36 to complete 50 pull-ups, 100 push-ups, 150 sit-ups, and 200 squats! Under 5 minutes per round!
I was pretty pumped about how I did and could not wait to blog about it! I come into work and visit the CrossFit website to see how my time compares to other people's and I read the following:
OOPS! BIG OOPS!
I did not rest. I did not stop between rounds. I just kept hauling ass. Hahaha. I made this workout MUCH harder than it needed to be!
But, I still finished and I'm still proud of my time even if I am an idiot who needs to get better at reading instructions.
Even AWESOMER than my time is how much better I did today than when I attempted this workout 3.5 months ago.
On May 26th, I attempted "Barbie" which is a step lower (easier) on the scale than the workout I did today "Barbara Lite".
If you can recall from way back when, I did not actually complete the workout on May 26th. I made it through 3 rounds and then quit b/c I was so frustrated (finished 15 pull-ups only). I had just learned how to do pull-ups and thought I could do 5 rounds of 5 pull-ups. When I tried it though, I found I couldn't do it... I was still not strong enough at pull-ups. I failed and walked away from the pull-up bar pissed off and kicking things (as you can tell, one of my finer moments indeed)...
It is so rewarding to see improvements like these when you feel like you're not getting stronger or faster. I really needed this! I needed this small reminder to keep doing what I'm doing because it is working...
