Quick WOD & September Budget

>> Tuesday, September 1, 2009

The WOD called for weighted pull-ups, which I cannot do. I'm still stoked about being able to do kipping pull-ups and I can honestly say, have not even considered doing a weighted pull-up before.

Instead of weighted pull-ups, I tried to do as many srict pull-ups as possible AKA no kipping. Without the kip, you don't have any momentum, so obviously they're more difficult.

I could only do 2 at a time but I did 6 rounds of 2 and then my very last round I did 3 reps! Total = 15

Not bad I suppose. Quick day at the gym... I walked in, worked out, showered, then left and some people were working out the whole time. I always feel a little goofy when that happens, but oh well.

Work is really stressful right now. So much so in fact that last night I kept dreaming about it- I kept dreaming I wasn't going to get all my work done (which very well may be reality) and I was disappointing people. It's not hard to know where these dreams are coming from- my own personal paranoia that I can't get everything done that's on my plate. I always manage to find a way so I'm hoping that happens this week too!

Our budget for September is crucial if we're going to be debt free by the end of it. We have a trip planned this coming weekend and our 4-year wedding anniversary on September 30th. And yes, before anyone asks, our budget for our anniversary is only $50 and yes, that includes a small gift for each other. We don't expect people to understand, but we both want to be out of debt like you would not believe. If we can do it on September 30th AKA our anniversary, that will be a better gift to each other than anything.

Here's our budget for September:

This weekend, our college (Central Michigan University) plays University of Arizona an hour south of where we live so of course we're going to the game! I mean, how often does a school in Michigan play one in Arizona??? We got fabulous seats, a hotel room, and we're heading down for the night with a group of friends. It should be fun!

With total income during September of over $8K, we're hoping to send $4,685 to our debt, which is our remaining balance.

1 month and counting... thanks for coming along for the ride!

***Update- Car Insurance budget is actually $95 for September, not $62. Don't ask me why. I just went online to go pay it and they said I actually owe $33 more. ??? I hate how State Farm does that shit. The bill I got in the mail was different. Whatever. Total budget = $3,056.42

That's weird that your car insurance did that. I've never had an issue like that with Progressive.

Congrats on nearly being done with your debt! It's been an amazing pay off!
