Today's workout was super hard. The WOD I did called for 5 sets of 3 push jerks.

My weights were 70,75,80,90,95

Originally I was thinking I'd end up at 90 but as I was doing the lift, I remembered how I really want to push myself to get stronger and get out of any plateau I may be in, so I skipped 85 pounds and ended up finishing at 95.

It was tough, but I felt really good about it! On May 6th, my ONE rep max for the push jerk was 90 pounds but this morning I did 95 pounds 3 TIMES! Pretty cool!

Technically, I could have been done after doing the push jerks, but I want to push myself so I added a CrossFit Endurance workout after the CrossFit workout. The run was just 1 mile which is normally pretty easy but this time it was at a 7% incline on the treadmill.

To be completely honest, it was much harder than I anticipated.

Holy hell. It was tough. Imagine running 1 mile all up hill... I stopped after every 1/4 mile and took a 30 second breather before going again. It ended up taking around 13 minutes which I'm happy with. I really didn't care about my time, just that I did the workout.

After these two workouts, I could not stop sweating. You want to hear about this, I know you do :) Even after I had taken a shower and I was getting ready, I was still sweating. My body was having a tough time cooling itself down- I guess that's a sign that I kicked butt ???

This week I feel really good about my workouts. I've pushed myself a little further with each one than I had beforehand so I feel like maybe I'm getting out of my workout rut! Or maybe it's just that my stress level is much lower now with work so I'm generally more positive and easy-going. Or maybe it's because I'm back to biking to work which is a wonderful stress reliever for me and is very enjoyable.

Or maybe it's all of the above.

Until tomorrow,
