I was surprised by how few people were at the gym this morning. I mean, the first Monday of the year, I was expecting tons of new faces, but I'm pretty sure I didn't see even one.

I bet it will be bat-shit crazy tonight though!

Here's the workout I did this morning:
1. Barbell bench press 45# 2 rounds of 10 reps
2. Dumbbell shoulder press 20# 4 rounds of 5 reps
3. Dips level 12 and level 14 on the assisted machine 2 rounds of 10 reps
4. Push-up obstacle course- used 3 different sizes of medicine balls. Did one trip down and then back so 8 push-ups in all... probably should have done more but wanted to fit cardio in too yet so I was rushing.

Cardio- this turned out to be a great workout! I loved it! I used the bike and would amp it up level 12 for the most part. A time or two I did take it down to Level 10 if I needed a quick recovery on some of the longer rounds. For the "off", I continued biking but down to a level 6 on the bike.

I was surprisingly really sweaty by the time it was done. It turned out to be about a 21 minute workout!

My goal is to be diligent with my workouts and eating this week. I've already turned down some chocolate fudge that was being passed around. I'm officially no longer in the vacation mindset so that should help tremendously. And now that family is no longer visiting, I'm finding it easier to be in a routine already.

Tomorrow I will be taking this blog private. I've received 19 requests for access! Wow! That makes me so excited b/c I had no idea some of you existed (since you never leave me a comment)!

lol. yeahhh i have been a good lurker! i did read everyday, just never followed through with a comment. :-/ but here i am now, and hopefully tomorrow too!

uggh i am not really looking forward to the gym tonight. i am *hoping* that since this is such a small town there aren't anymore people to join. (i'm currently living away from home-home for work). i'm sure a cold, monday morning didn't help with motivation. the mornings never got too crowded with resolutioner's at my old gym.

good luck continuing to turn down the post-holiday sweets! i turned down some fudge today too, go us :)

Aww, thanks so much chica for the kind words even if you may have slightly overstated my talent.

I too was wondering how packed my gym would be this mornring. I didn't get to find out because I opted to stay in my not packed, very comfortable bed. My guess though is that any new gym comers would be going in the evening not the morning.

I totally get the vacation mode thing. I'm still on vacation this week (til Wednesday) then Travis's birthday is Thursday so we'll be in vacation mode til Sunday morning. I'm hoping to use this week as a planning week so starting Monday, Jan. 11 I can hit it hard the way you're doing it.

My January goal is to be more like Kelsa! (At least exercise and eating habits wise - I have no desire to be an accountant of any sorts. :)

And very happy birthday, Amy.
