Great weekend and March's budget

>> Monday, March 1, 2010

I'm here! I'm here!

First I was sick which you all knew, then this weekend I had guests... and let me just say, I had the best guests a girl could ask for. My friends from college, Amy and Lexi, both flew in (from Chicago and Philadelphia respectfully) and we spent the weekend chatting and simply enjoying the endless conversation! I can't even say we spent it "catching up" because honestly, although it's been years since we've all been together, we're incredibly close. We may not have the luxury of being involved in each others' lives from day-to-day, but you wouldn't know it!

It was an amazing weekend but boy am I tired! I definitely need a weekend to recover from the weekend!

Instead, back to the grind and getting March's budget in order:

As you can see, we should be sending $3,166 to our new car fund in the month! That will bring it to over $4,000! I'm pretty pumped about that... Our security deposit on our old place was $1395 so we might get back that this month too (who really knows?). We plan to put the whole thing toward our car fund which could put it over $5,000!

We're also saving another $200 for our trip home in May.

Another exciting thing is that just today we bought tickets to go to see Paul McCartney in concert at the end of this month! Yippy! The tickets actually cost way more than $100 (budgeted amount) but we put some cash toward the rest that we had lying around. Eeek! We're so excited!

We also have poker this weekend at our house and then on Saturday we're going to see the Globetrotters! That's free though so that's pretty cool... all in all, a very exciting month!

How's your budget look for March?
Are you doing anything fun?
How much are you saving for future goals?

Until tomorrow,

I also need a weekend to recover from my weekend. But it was so worth it. I'd take a tired and sore Tuesday anyday to hang out with you ladies.

I just started trying to figure out my March budget. It's a little challenging becuase I'm still not sure exactly what my paychecks will be. Based on the one week's worth of work I've already been paid for, my savings account could be growing even quicker than I thought.
