Paul McCartney concert

>> Monday, March 29, 2010

Hey everyone! I had a great weekend...busy but lots of fun!

Saturday morning I had a piano lesson, my last for a few weeks just because of Easter, family visiting, etc. I played my Lesson I book from start to finish without any problems. It was a great review and illustrated just how far I've come!

Saturday night my colleague was having a New Moon party so I went over there. My boss's wife was invited too so we rode together. My hubby and my boss hung out for the night and watched Inglorious Bastards and Zombieland...I called it their man date. So cute.

Sunday morning we met some friends for breakfast, then I came back and finished our taxes! Finally! I can't believe I waited so long to get them done... the damage was less than we anticipated actually. I knew we would owe taxes this year because when Michael worked for the Globetrotters, it wasn't taxed. Our total amount due was $1,167 so you will see that budgeted for April. We're able to cash flow it and it's still amazing to me how much peace I have when it comes to our finances. Honestly, a $1,100 tax bill is just no big thing to stress over. What a great feeling.

Sunday night was the Paul McCartney concert. It.was.awesome.

First, here's a video of Live and Let Die (sorry, it's not very good at all, but you get the idea of just how awesome he was). It's actually way easier to see if you could watch it in full screen but you get the idea :)

Here are some pictures from the evening...

arena before the concert started (about 1 hour before)... the place was packed, not a seat open.

...waiting for the concert to start...
The concert started 1 hour late and then Sir Paul played for over 3 hours! We didn't end up getting home until 1 AM and we both had to work in the morning! Yikes. I ended up taking the morning off and am so glad I did!

I'm still doing my burpees every day! I'm a much happier person when I don't wait until 10 or 11 at night to do them. Today I did them when I got home from work. I'm only on 26 and it's already getting difficult! Not only am I ONLY 25% of the way through this challenge, but it's the EASIEST 25%! What was I thinking?
Until tomorrow,
Kelsalynn
