Not my brightest idea ever

In my post from earlier today I mentioned how I had the flu this past weekend. I got sick Sunday evening and threw up until early Monday morning. So on Monday, I pretty much just laid around all day, still feeling a bit icky, hadn't eaten, didn't have anything left in me, but didn't have an appetite either.
So today when I woke up feeling better, I was gosh darn ready to get off the couch and be productive and active. First thing this morning, I took the dog for her morning bike ride as normal. Got home and did a bunch of stretches and minimal exercises- squats, push-ups, lunges, etc- to try and warm up my body. I felt stiff all over from being such a total bum the days before. Plus, don't you hate how every muscle aches after you've spent the night throwing up? My abs and neck were so stiff/sore feeling!
After lunch I was itching to get outside so I took the dog for a short jog. I mean, we're talking less than 2 miles so like I said, not at all far but still, it felt good.
Tonight we had the "Filthy Fifty" planned with our friends who workout at our house. I wasn't planning to do the workout since I hadn't even been "healthy" for one full day and it's one hell of a workout. Here's what it calls for-
50 box jumps
50 jumping pull-ups
50 kettlebell swings (35#)
50 walking lunges
50 knees to elbows
50 push press (45#)
50 back extensions (on ball)
50 wallballs (20#)
50 burpees
50 double unders
Obviously, doing 500 reps the day after you've barfed up your insides, probably not a good idea. And I was very aware of that as everyone started showing up and was thinking I'd skip it and do something lighter.
But I did it anyway.
Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
The last time I did this workout was July 2009! That's a SUPER long time ago- almost TWO years! Wow! The WOD was scaled so differently at that time, it's almost pointless to compare my time between then and now. I did it at a gym back then, used a captain's chair instead of actual knees-to-elbows, used an 11# ball for wallballs, did 100 single jumps instead of double unders because I couldn't do a double under back then, etc.
Tonight my time was a very pathetic 43:45. I'm not proud of the time but I'm proud of not dying or puking because I was extremely close. The wallballs and burpees were horrible. The up-down-up-down motion brought me very close to throwing up and I was definitely light-headed. I told myself to take as many breaks as needed and just finish. I was only able to do 5 wallballs and 5 burpees at a time- not good.
But hey, I got it done.
Disclaimer- I only did 35 knees-to-elbows then 15 sit-ups. My grip sucked & I felt like I couldn't hold onto the bar.
There are some amazing videos of CrossFit chicks doing this WOD in half the time it took me. They are my idols!
